Continuing Education Information
New Jersey licensed electricians are required to complete 34 hours of Board approved classes for the LICENSE RENEWAL DEADLINE OF March 31 2027.
24 hours on topics of your choice, which can be online or in person.
10-hours IN PERSON 9 hours on the new code, and 1 hour of Business Law.

Friday March 27 4:30PM to 10 PM 1/2 Hour Dinner Break, Saturday March 28, 8:30 AM to 2 PM.
This in person class will be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel, 50 Kenny Place, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663. Fee includes a Mike Holt Code Change Book, Sandwiches on Friday night and refreshments on Saturday morning. You must attend both sessions to receive credit.
Monday September 14, 3 hours from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Important Changes to the NEC.
This class will discuss some Important Changes to the 2020 NEC and take a look at what to expect in 2023.
Wednesday September 16, 5 hours from 5 PM to 10 PM. One and Two Families / PVC Installations / Jeopardy 1 / Common Violations.
This class will discuss typical One and Two family Dwelling Installations, Common Violations, and PVC Installations. Test your code knowledge with a game of Jeopardy.

Friday September 25, 4:30PM to 10 PM 1/2 Hour Dinner Break, Saturday September 26, 8:30 AM to 2 PM. To Be Held In The Cherry Hill Location
This in person class will be held at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia / Cherry Hill NJ, 2175 Marlton Pike W., Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. Fee includes a Mike Holt Code Change Book, Sandwiches on Friday night and refreshments on Saturday morning. You must attend both sessions to receive credit.
Monday October 12, 3 hours from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Business and Employee Management.
This class will discuss best practices for employment management, recent Board of Examiners employee registration requirements, and the use of AI.
Wednesday October 14, 5 hours from 5 PM to 10 PM. Services / Outside Branch Circuits and Feeders, NEC Labeling Requirements.
This class will discuss service and feeder installation requirements, feeder to a separate building, and NEC labeling requirements.

Monday November 16, 3 hours from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Everything Except the NEC.
This class will discuss the NJ Uniform Construction Code regulations and adopted subcodes as they pertain to Electrical Contractors.
Wednesday November 18, 5 hours from 5 PM to 10 PM. The Rehab Code and the Electrical Contractor / Print Reading / Managing Large Electrical Projects.
This class will review the rehab code as it relates to electrical contractors, demonstrate how to read drawings, and discuss managing large electrical projects.

Monday November 30, 3 hours from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Emergency Systems / Generators
This class will discuss Emergency System and Generator installation requirements.
Wednesday December 2, 5 hours from 5 PM to 10 PM. Fire Alarm Systems and Smoke Detectors / Surge Protection / Fault Current
This class will discuss installation requirements for fire alarm and smoke detector installations, surge protection requirements, and fault current compliance.
